There’s a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold…

I have to get some thoughts out before this days ends.

Red Door Rocks! was tonight.  I felt so surrounded by love and support and affection and amazing music.

Chris, my partner, my friend, did a phenomenal job organizing. I love him so, and I gushed to him all evening.

The bands: Black and White Cookies, Aaron Lavigne, TJ Moss Band, and Matt Hinkley – all incredible, talented, professional, amazing.  I am proud to have been a part of their evening.

A special note to Matt:  You and your music have been important to me since the day I met you.  It was a priviledge and an honor to have you perform.  And thank you from the bottom of my heart for playing the renamed: “Douchebagassface” song (aka “Leave Town”).  I hope that we will always be friends and collegeaues, but friends first and foremost.

People from so many branches of my life came tonight.  We made connections, networked, shook hands, hugged, kissed.  Just generally shared in the importance of art and friendship.

It was a magical evening.

As we drove home, “Stairway to Heaven” came on.

A perfect ending to a perfect day.
